Greetings Sorors, Guests, Community Partners, and Friends,
On behalf of the officers and members, it is an honor and a pleasure as President of the Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to welcome you to our website. The Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter (NoVAC) was chartered on May 17, 1959, and for over 60 years, we have been a pillar of strength and compassion in our community rendering countless hours of service, awarding scholarships, and remaining socially active.
We are grateful for the ongoing support of our community partners. Collectively, we work together to develop and implement programs that benefit the County of Arlington and Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, and Falls Church. I encourage you to explore the site for information on our chapter history, programs, and events.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is an organization with a rich history. In January of this year, we celebrated 107 years of dedication to Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service. As we continue experiencing the greatness of Delta Sigma Theta, we will remain true to our National President's theme: "joy in our sisterhood, power in our voice, and service in our hearts."
Our major programs are based on the Sorority's Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
o Economic Development
o Educational Development
o International Awareness and Involvement
o Physical and Mental Health
o Political Awareness and Involvement
Our Chapter prides itself on being a part of the Sensational South Atlantic Region and is considered one of the largest chapters in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are honored to be home to past National Secretary, Dr. Nancy Randolph. As an award-winning chapter, we are proud of our many accomplishments and look forward to realizing our theme for the next biennium, "Leading in Excellence. Leading with Action. Leading by Example. Together we are NoVAC Strong."
For Delta sorors this website is intended to support your needs as a member by providing
