  Soror Groves is a lifelong educator.

NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS CHAPTER PRESIDENT:

 In 1996, NoVAC hosted a Fall Awareness Forum entitled African American Participation in the Political Process that featured representatives from the Congressional Black Caucus. In 1997, the chapter hosted the 1997 Virginia Fall Cluster. Also, at the annual “Greeks in Motion” step show at Howard University, NoVAC’s award-winning step team earned 2nd place honors. 

 

NEW PROGRAMS OR INITIATIVES IMPLEMENTED: 

 Soror Groves’ administration convened the first Presidents’ Council, chaired by immediate past president, Madeliene Dobbins. A new Christmas program was also created for the residents of the Ladrey Hi-Rise as was Project Destiny. 

 

PRESIDENTIAL NUGGET TO IMPART ON NOVAC:

  Soror Groves’ favorite NoVAC recipe consisted of “Loyal members, Objective officers, Vivacious commissioners and coordinators, and Enthusiastic committee chairmen.” It spells out a word which lies at the heart of all we do in the name of Delta.
