NoVAC conducts fundraising activities and receives donations from the community through its 501(c)(3) foundation, the Northern Virginia Delta Education and Community Service Foundation (NVDECS). Contributions are made directly to the foundation or through the United Way and/or the Combined Federal Campaign (#8307). Mail your tax deductable contributions to NVDECS, at the following address:

Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter will use donations to support community service activities and programs. Highlights of such programs are described below:
- Providing over $100,000 in scholarships to deserving high school students to attend accredited colleges and universities.
- Tutoring and mentoring over 100 school-aged students, teaching them basic math, reading, and study skills to assist them in passing standardized tests.
- Purchasing and distributing hundreds of free books annually through Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) - a partnership program with the national and Northern Virginia RIF agencies that promote reading and improved literacy among children of all ages.
- Working with young women of all ages focusing on such topics as self-awareness, health, careers, and family life through a variety of programs.
- Educating the public by conducting events such as Fall Awareness that focus on critical issues that impact citizens individually and as members of the community, for example, health, voter education, HIV/Aids, predatory lending, and increasing financial stability.
- Participating in the City of Alexandria 's Adopt a Block Program which involves a "clean-up" service project.
- Providing clothing, school supplies, personal care items, and toys to organizations in South Africa .
